Bud Carr, CPCU has had a diverse career in the property & casualty insurance agency system. Following graduation from East Carolina University, he joined Carr Insurance, an agency founded by his father Bill Carr in Miami, Florida. Over the next 40 years he experienced hurricanes and the numerous “storms” of insurance market cycles. He also taught insurance courses for the Florida Association of Insurance Agents, ACORD and the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America. Along the way he earned the CPCU designation served as the Miami chapter president of the CPCU Society.

Moving to Tampa Bay he later helped found and grow a start-up agency – no policies, no renewals, just 3 empty desks.

Bud has combined all these experiences into his book, Success in Insurance Sales; Beyond the Policies and Premiums.
